azelaic acid
Azelaic acid is a molecule extracted from wheat, rye or barley seeds, whose multiple properties help to correct complexion problems, restoring uniformity and luminosity.
Azelaic acid acts primarily on tyrosinase, the enzyme required for melanin production. Applied topically, it reduces melanin production in hyperactive areas where darker spots can appear. It is therefore a precious anti-spot ally.
Its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties also enable it to limit the proliferation of bacteria responsible for imperfections and inflammatory reactions, and to regulate sebum production. In this way, it effectively combats imperfections such as acne, redness and blemishes.
Finally, by regulating the keratinization process, azelaic acid also acts on skin regeneration to homogenize skin texture and enhance its radiance.
