Vitamin C

Vitamin C: also known as L-ascorbic acid, vitamin C is essential for the body to function properly and to help the skin defend itself against oxidative stress factors.

PROTECTION: vitamin C protects cell membranes made up of fatty acids, which are highly sensitive to oxidation. It acts as a free-radical trap, limiting the chain reaction of oxidative stress. It is therefore particularly relevant for strengthening the skin's defense mechanisms against everyday aggressions.

ANTI-AGING: by stimulating collagen production and preventing oxidation of the cells that produce it, vitamin C plays a significant role in preventing skin slackening and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

BRIGHTNESS: vitamin C also acts on the evenness and radiance of the complexion by locally regulating melanin production. It thus helps reduce the brown spots that can appear on the skin following repeated exposure to the sun.
